Your heaviest meal shouldn't be at night

Our liver does most of its detox work between 𝟭𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮𝗮𝗺. Our digestive system starts winding down in the evening.
When we pile on heavy proteins, fried food, and rich sauces right before bed, we're forcing the body to run a marathon right before it needs to sleep. The organs that should be cleansing, healing and processing instead.

Some plants are brilliant at supporting what the liver and lymphatic system need to do overnight:
• 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱: bitter foods stimulate bile production and help the liver process fats more efficiently. Not everyone's favourite, but your liver genuinely loves it. • 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆: quietly one of the best things for flushing out the kidneys. High water content, anti-inflammatory, and easy to throw into a soup or juice. • 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁: contains betalains, which support liver detox pathways. Roasted or blended into a cold soup, it's honestly beautiful for dinner. • 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰: curcumin is one of the most studied anti-inflammatory compounds we have. A golden broth at night hits different when you know what it's doing. • 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀: harder to find here but worth seeking out. Traditionally used for liver and kidney support. A simple sauté with garlic is enough. • 𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀: Antimicrobial, supports digestion, and smells fragrant.
