Here's how to restore your zinc levels:

  • Digestive disruption is frequently the first sign. Bloating, cramping, and irregular stools can all point to low zinc, which plays a direct role in enzyme production and gut lining integrity.   • Pumpkin seeds are one of the richest plant sources of zinc, with around 2.2mg per 30g serving. Hemp seeds and cashews are close behind.   • Legumes like chickpeas and lentils contain meaningful zinc, but also phytates that reduce absorption. Be sure to soak them first to get the maximum amount of zinc.   • Dark chocolate and quinoa are also good, making it easier to build zinc intake even while snacking.
